Using a sensitive and soap-free skin cleanser is generally advised by the dermatologists. A sensitive-skin bar is used as an alternate of cleanser for very sensitive and dry skin. Cleansing is followed by applying a light, water based, and preservative-free, hypoallergenic and all-purpose moisturizer.
An oil based lotion comprising of 20% urea or petroleum jelly are used as moisturizer for highly dry skin.

Normal skin shows no reaction to any kind of cleansers; everything works from sensitive -skin bars to regular bath soap. Moisturizer, if applied after cleansing (not necessary for normal skin) should be light, preservative free, hypoallergenic, and water-based and all purpose moisturizer.
